The great thing is that they offer a shuttle bus from Beitou MRT station and drive you up the hills (which you otherwise would need to walk or cab). I did some searching and chose Grand View Resort in Beitou. We had pre-booked a private hot spring in advance as they are reasonably priced compared to the ones in Canada. Beitou is famous for its hot springs and is also the most mountainous and highest of Taipei’s districts. Upon exiting, you will smell the sulphur from the hot springs. In the example given, we would be charged for 9 days of usage.On our fourth day in Taipei, we took the MRT to Beitou station. Days are inclusive meaning that the first and last days are counted. Unfortunately, that’s not the way the duration is calculated. If I travel from 1 January to 9 January, I would expect to pay for only 8 days of service.
